PSHE & RSHE
Intent
Our PSHE and RSHE curriculum intends to equip every pupil at Pinfold Street with the knowledge, skills and vocabulary they need to be safe, healthy and respectful members of their community. Rooted in our vision “Prepared for Life” and our R.E.S.P.E.C.T. values, it teaches age‑appropriate knowledge about relationships, consent, physical and mental health, puberty and online safety while developing emotional literacy, self‑regulation and decision‑making. We sequence learning so pupils build on prior knowledge from early years to Year 6, use inclusive teaching approaches and ensure learning is relevant, diverse and supported by adult modelling so pupils can apply what they know in everyday life.
Implementation
The curriculum is planned in well-sequenced, progressive lessons. The children are taught in blocks to immerse them in their learning to enable them to know more and remember more. We use units of work from the PSHE Association and Yasmine & Tom from the Family Planning Association to support our PSHE and RSHE curriculum.

Impact
Our effective teaching of PSHE will have a huge impact on our pupils in positive ways.
They will:
