Our Approach to Wellbeing

Our pupils’ emotional and mental health is of utmost importance to us. We want to ensure that we do all we can to support our pupils by working together and providing a range of strategies so that our pupils are prepared for life.
We have staff that have received specific training to support pupils who have social, emotional or mental health needs.

Nurture Support

Warm and welcoming environment for children and focus on identifying emotions and improve overall emotional wellbeing.

Social and Communication Needs
​

Practise strategies to use to help cope in school and other social situations.

Learning Mentor
​

Help to identify barriers to learning and promoting self-esteem.

Promote friendships and being a good friend.

Language and Communication
​

Activities and scenarios to support with expressing themselves and understanding others.

Speech & Language therapy.

Key Workers
 

Allocated member of staff who has a positive relationship with a pupil and knows exactly what strategies to use.
